Animal testing policy - Buff is against testing on animals

Buff Products Ltd has a strict non-animal testing policy and strives to ensure that no animal is harmed in the making of any of our products.

Every time a consumer purchases a cosmetic product, they also fund the testing of that product, which is often done on animals. Buff, however, is dedicated to never funding animal cruelty with customers’ money. The company strongly believes animal testing is not only unethical but also poor science, with results that are irrelevant to humans.

Modern science, either through the use of donated human tissue and cells, to human volunteers, means animal testing no longer needs to be used. Computer programs can help test for reactions to raw materials, ingredients or products. Donated human tissue, through people who leave their bodies to science after their death, means we have real and valuable tests and do not use animals who only share part of human DNA. Animal testing simply does not need to go on.

Buff does not buy any raw materials from companies that test on animals. They only purchase from companies and suppliers that sign a declaration stating that they do not test any of their raw materials on animals, and have no plans to do so in the future.

We also look at the company’s testing of other materials, not just the material they are interested in purchasing. If the company tests any of its materials on animals, we will not buy anything from them.

We believe that it is possible to create a successful cosmetics brand without any involvement in animal testing and are cruelty-free.
